For cpik - the C compiler for PIC 18 devices - please go to the cpik download page.

Fedora packages might be available, here.

Gentoo packages are generally available on gentoo mirrors.

Thank you to Fedora and Gentoo packagers for supporting PiKdev.

Note about building of PiKdev 1.4.x and 1.5.x :
Building this version is really easy. Please see the installation section for details.

Note about PiKdev 1.5.x:
This package includes the HTML documentation about PIC devices provided by the gputils project as a tarball (gputils-html-help.tar.gz). If you plan to use it, just extract this archive, then configure the integrated documentation browser to point to the entry point of this doc (ie: index.html).

Note about pk2cmd :
Pikdev 1.4.x and 1.5.x need pk2cmd V1.20.0 (or higher).

The following packages are obsolete

Note about building of pikdev 1.2.1:
Because I am tired of configure/autotools issues, I decided to provide a new procedure for Pikdev build and install. I hope this procedure will solve both problems related to autotools versions, distributions and coexistence of KDE3 and KDE4. Please see the
installation section for details.

Note about building of pikdev 1.2.0:
For mysterious (for me) reasons, the link of pikdev 1.2.0 from source code may fail. (Some object modules are not found a link time, because the moc tool is not invocated). You can solve this problem by running
perl admin/am_edit
to generate a new src/Makefile.in from src/Makefile.am, just before the ./configure step.
